Oh, yeepee, yesterday night the awards season has started with the 71st annual Golden Globes. As usual I was so excited about the dresses and I saw many beautiful, fitted and right color gowns and unfortunately some weird dresses as well.

Anyway, let’s see my favourites starting with my number 1. I think the ultimate elegant, surprising and the most awesome was the 12 Years a Slave star, Lupita Nyong’o who wore a breathtaking Ralph Laurent gown with cape. I cannot stop admiring this perfect look and I’m not the only one 🙂

Amy Adams wore my other favourite red gown, Valentino last night – best colors for her and a really daring cut. I also liked Julie Bowen color-blocked Carolina Herrera dress especially the shape of it.

To take a look at the light colored dresses, I really liked Rachel Smith in her icy pink gown, Margot Robbie in a white Gucci gown with crystals and emerald details plus her green sandals, Naomi Watts in silver and cut-out Tom Ford dress, mother-to-be Kerry Washington in a white simple but pretty Balenciaga gown and Drew Barrymore who made a peek-a-boo with her baby bump in this colorful floral Monique Lhuillier dress – your eyes were focused only on the flowers 🙂

There weren’t so many black gowns on the red carpet so I mainly liked all of them. Starting with Cate Blanchett top to toe lace Armani gown which was so elegant and stylish. Ok, the color was to dark for her Light Summer delicate look but only she can wear these kind of exciting designs.
I really liked Lily Rabe interesting pattern dress, Emma Roberts classy and elegant black mermaid Lanvin gown with that lovely necklane and Sofia Vergara in her princess shape Zac Posen dress with this awesome sky blue statement necklace.
I also adored the cut and the shape of Amber Heard Versace navy gown.

I loved that green color was hit the red carpet this year as well. I think expecting Olivia Wild looked stunning in this dark green and sparkling Gucci gown and I really liked this vintage, 1940s inspired and fresh green Thakoon gown on Taylor Schilling.

And finally, Downton Abbey was nominated for Best TV Series, Drama (didn’t won 🙁 ) so my favourite period drama sisters, Lady Mary played by Michelle Dockery and Lady Edith played by Laura Carmichael, also showed their delicate English style in Beverly Hills.
I loved Laura’s black and white Viktor&Rolf dress but it’s not exactly her color combination, Michelle Dockery wore a silver Oscar de la Renta gown.
