Blue shades and darker colors were dominant at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last Saturday. My top five best dressed were Amy Adams in her royal blue Antonio Berardi gown.
I also loved Lupita Nyong’o in a turquoise Gucci gown, Sandra Bullock in a dark emerald Lanvin gown, Isla Fisher in her Old Hollywood glamour cream satin Oscar de la Renta dress and Oprah Winfrey in a dark purple Badgley Mischka frock.
So here are my favorite and awesome blue, dark purple, dark emerald, and black gowns. Jennifer Garner was terrific in her simply elegant navy Max Mara gown while young actress Jennifer Lawrence was sparkling in her Dior dress -I loved this much better than her Golden Globe dress. I also liked Claire Danes’ attractive Vionnet design.

In lighter colors – I loved Isla Fisher in an excellent Oscar de la Renta dress, Gretchen Mol in a white and exciting J. Mendel gown, Elisabeth Rohm‘s stunning blush lace Marchesa column gown with all-over crystal and 3D silk-chiffon flower detail, Cate Blanchett light pink Givenchy dress with contrasting metallic pink sequinned detail and this lovely red Michael Kors dress on Elisabeth Moss.
