  1. Agnes, I love seasonal colour analysis but as I dived deeper into it,I realised some issues with it. The notion that one has to have blonde hair for eg,for light spring doesn’t make sense to me. Especially for POC! I feel colours that match a person differs from person to person irrespective of skin colour. That leads me to think one does not have to be born with a particular hair colour to be categorised into one. Would love your insight.
    Regards,
    Katie.

  2. Hi Agnes

I love your post and comments, noticing you answer everyone. I was told I was a light warm spring. Closer to warm than cool, soft than clear. I asked my consultant to give me a celebrity so I could understand more and she said Jennifer Aniston, which is weird as I don’t feel I am at all like her. I do have yellow undertones and some pink, but wondering if the yellow Is from Gilbert’s disease which can make me look jaundice at times.

Does your light spring pallet sound like would suit me, and can I use the light summer colours on the warm side.?
Thought I should tell you I am 64

    Regards
    Christine

  3. Sorry, but that is definitely wrong, I can’t wear most of the colours in your chart. I am a natural strawberry blonde with light blue/green (turquoise) eyes. I would never wear any of the pinks or orange colours and never more than a cream or very light yellow, warm colours do not suit me at all. My score would be 35% as I can wear the blues and a couple of the green

    1. Hello L,
Thank you for your comment. In the seasonal color analysis system that I use, these colors in my chart look great on any Light Spring women. I carefully picked these shades based on my professional experience. You can check out my Pinterest board as well to see more lovely looks.

It’s not easy to see ourselves objectively in connection with colors because of our feelings towards certain shades can change our verdict; which color looks good on us and which isn’t. Someone could love black but never will compliment her if she isn’t a Winter lady. Regardless you like a specific color or not; it could look nice next to your face. If the physical traits of a unique color are similar to yours, that color will brighten up your look.

If you don’t feel these colors close to you, you can have one of the other seasonal color palettes, for example, the Soft Autumn.

  4. I feel these colors look best on me but I don't quite match up the descriptors. My skin tans easily and my eyes are not as warm as described. Still a little confused.

  5. For some reason, in some colourtype guides, summer and spring are switched: spring is cool light and summer is warm light. I don't know why, but that could bring this confusion.

  6. Hello Ronnie,
    thank you for your thoughts.
To be honest, I think the bold red lipstick is too dominant for Taylor such as black that she wears sometimes. I agree with you the lighter colors and lipstick shades are much better on her. However, as I checked, her natural hair color was a warmer golden blonde that is a typical Spring shade. Now, she has a more ashy or light brownish-blonde hair color that probably enhance her Summer secondary season.
If you compare Taylor to a Light Summer like Naomi Watts or Cate Blanchett, you can see that Taylor is warmer than the other two actresses. Plus, as I see, the lighter gold colors/dresses complement Taylor overall look better than the cooler ones.

  7. I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't see a spring in Taylor Swift. Compared to Blake Lively who looks so amazing in peach, Taylor just doesn't look right in warmer colors to me. I feel like we're so used to her wearing bold red lips that we can't see her as a summer. But she looks amazing in light, dusty, cool colors. I really want to see her in a light dusty pink but she doesn't seem to be wearing that. However I found her in a very dusty purple which complemented her so well and also softer, pinker lips suit her way better than a peach toned lip. I'm just a bit confused because on every site I've checked so far, she's always stated as a light spring, but I just don't see it.

  8. Is this a joke? Where are the questions for the quiz? I have clicked on everything.
I think I will go to another quiz that works. I think this quiz needs some serious updating.

  9. Hi Elizabeth,
I'm happy that you like my post and thank you for the notice. That color would like to be a midnight blue or darker navy shade. And yes, black is not in the Light Spring palette while charcoal grey is more a Summer shade than a Spring.

  10. Lovely palette, very helpful photos. On my computer, though, the colours at the top left of the palette look very dark, even black, which is not what Light Springs should wear. Are they actually charcoal or navy?

  11. Agnes Turi: If you read more closely what the author has written above the pictures, you would see she said she had shown the pictures for a better idea of the seasonal palette and would have to study them more closely to make sure her decision on their seasons were correct. Thank you…

  12. Tylor Swift-deep atumn.
    Amanda Seyfried-deep autumn.
    Blake Lively-soft summer
    Claudia Schiffer-soft summer
    Kylie Minogue-light spring!
    I did a virtual test.

  13. Hello, would you be so kind to explain your point of view. I really wonder why you think the other celebrities aren't Light Spring. thx

  14. Hi, the only true Light Springs from your List are Taylor Swift, Cameron Diaz and Cynthia Nixon. The other
    Girls are Summer-Types. 😉
